“I’m Neil Barrett, owner and operator of NJB Hoofcare”.
I’ve been a full-time foot trimmer for over 12 years, working with commercial dairy and beef herds across the South Midlands, South Wales and the ‘Northern parts’ of the South West of England. My agricultural career began at the Royal Farms in Windsor, followed by time in New Zealand before returning to the UK as a herdsperson.
In 2013, with the arrival of my triplets, I committed to building a hands-on, practical career within the industry. My journey into hoofcare began following a conversation with highly respected cattle vet Roger Blowey, which led me into professional foot trimming.
After gaining experience with both independent trimmers and veterinary practices, I established NJB Hoofcare in 2016.
Since then, the business has grown into a leading hoofcare provider in the region, supported by continuous investment in equipment, training, and herd health outcomes.
